Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services of Sorensen Senior Advisors ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Services

Sorensen Senior Advisors provides senior placement consulting services, specifically:

• Assessment of care needs and appropriate level of care
• Matching families with assisted living and memory care communities
• Tour coordination and decision support
• Move-in coordination and transition support
• Post-placement follow-up (30 days)

Our services are provided at no cost to families. We are compensated by senior living communities through referral fees.

What We Are NOT

It is important to understand that Sorensen Senior Advisors:

• Is NOT a licensed healthcare provider
• Does NOT provide medical advice or diagnoses
• Does NOT provide financial planning or legal advice
• Does NOT guarantee acceptance into any community
• Does NOT guarantee specific outcomes or satisfaction with placement
• Is NOT responsible for the quality of care provided by senior living communities
• Is NOT an agent or representative of any senior living community

User Responsibilities

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about your loved one's care needs, medical conditions, behaviors, financial situation, and preferences. Inaccurate information may result in inappropriate placements.

Communication

You agree to respond to our communications in a timely manner and to communicate clearly about your needs, concerns, and decisions.

Independent Decision-Making

You acknowledge that the final decision regarding senior living placement is yours. We provide guidance and recommendations, but you are responsible for evaluating communities, making informed decisions, and signing contracts directly with communities.

Due Diligence

You agree to conduct your own due diligence when evaluating senior living communities, including touring facilities, reviewing contracts, verifying licensing, and asking questions about care, staffing, and policies.

Referral Fee Disclosure

Sorensen Senior Advisors receives referral fees from senior living communities when families we work with choose to move into those communities. These fees are typically 70-100% of the first month's rent.

We disclose these relationships to all clients. We only partner with communities we have personally evaluated and trust. Our recommendations are based on appropriateness of care and fit—not which community pays the highest referral fee.

By using our services, you acknowledge and consent to this business model and understand that we have a financial relationship with the communities we recommend.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sorensen Senior Advisors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Use of or inability to use our services
• Quality of care provided by senior living communities
• Decisions made by you regarding placement
• Financial arrangements between you and senior living communities
• Changes in your loved one's condition or care needs after placement
• Any disputes with senior living communities

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the referral fee we received for your placement.

No Guarantees

While we strive to provide excellent service, we make no guarantees regarding:

• Acceptance into any specific community
• Availability of rooms or beds
• Timing of placement (though we commit to same-day response)
• Your loved one's adjustment or satisfaction after placement
• Prevention of readmission to skilled nursing or hospitalization
• Long-term success of placement beyond our 30-day follow-up period

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate our services at any time:

You May Terminate:

• At any time, for any reason, by notifying us
• No fees or penalties apply if you choose to stop using our services
• You may choose a different placement advisor or proceed independently

We May Terminate:

• If you provide false or misleading information
• If you behave abusively or inappropriately toward our staff or partner communities
• If we determine we cannot meet your needs
• If you fail to communicate or respond to our outreach

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Sorensen Senior Advisors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sorensen Senior Advisors, its staff, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, your placement decisions, or your violation of these Terms of Service.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first to attempt informal resolution. We are committed to working through concerns professionally and fairly.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

Any legal action arising from these terms shall be filed in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Referral Disclosures, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sorensen Senior Advisors regarding use of our services.
